Survey Says...

This piece of report appeared in the Star a few weeks ago. My reactions when reading it - perplexed, bothered and teed off. Eeeeewwwweeeeee........

I'd like to believe that there were some mistakes with the findings from the survey. However, if facts presented were true, gosh....... I feel totally grossed out!!

Girls, how often do you wash your bra?

A SURVEY has found that a number of Sing*por*an girls wash their bras only once a week, Sin Chew Daily reported.

Some never washed them at all, the daily said, quoting a survey carried out by a news portal. More than 200 women took part in the survey.

It said that as of Feb 9, 108 respondents said they washed and changed their bras everyday but 42 others said they only changed them once a week. Another six said they washed their bras once a year while six others said they never washed their bras.

The daily quoted the online news writer as saying he was surprised with the level of cleanliness among Sing*por*an girls.

“Although some women work in an air-conditioned environment and may not sweat so often, the skin will still turn oily after some time and this will result in body odour. It is thus more appropriate to change the bra every day,” he said.

However, a gynecologist said it is not necessary for women to change their bras every day especially if they work at the office.

“Bras are not like panties which have to be changed daily. But for those who sweat easily, it is advisable to change the bras frequently."

Dear Cat-in-Sydney,

I too think they lied. It simply doesn't make sense NOT to do washing in that department. If I were asked to take the survey, I'd refuse. Ada pulak tanya such questions kan?? For you senang cerita, as you said NO bras..(coz kucing..heh..heh..:))

Dear Kak Ezza,

Yes you are right. Nak-nak waktu musim panas ni, peluh menitik macam shower, how lah not to change and wash?? Isshhhh nanti kena sakit kulit jadi satu problem pulak kan. Perhaps to those who don't like to do washing, we suggest they look for disposable bra boleh??

Kat rumah saya...bergantungan. Hari-hari basuh...nak buat camne. Neighbours nampak nasib lah kan...dia ader saya pun ader...heh..heh

Dear Mamasita,

Tak basuh bra for a year and turn into hantu kopek!! How bout that?? I have a feeling the survey was done for fun and maybe there were elements of pranks included, we don't know lah kan.

Anyway, I hope this report is not true too. Can imagine sitting in a meeting with someone yg gives her "faithful supporter" time out once a week!!

p/s Wahh you pakai corset bra!! Sure nampak lagi mengancam!! Berlari Dato' balik from his weekend seminar *wink*

Dear TM,

Sotong ada banyak makna. Yg "lembut-lembut auuuu" tu pun called sotong too!!

Why lah must budget-budget cuci sotong?? Ain't it the more you wash the more comfy it becomes?? Tak faham....

Dear Melbourne,

Didn't not hear an octave of sound from our southern bells. But seriously speaking, I hope the survey was a bluff. To me it defies logic.

I read this article too. I was grossed out as well. Once a week or never washed their bras at all! The latter is probably disposable ones (ada ke??)

Now you know yah, secrets of a successful woman :) Keep them clean & fresh..heh..heh.

Ohh you..please ahhh don't go imagining things too much. Mamasita's description is "elementary", as Holmes had put it to Dr Watson in that conversation they had :)

Errr...must try your secret recipe of sotong kering & porridge. Yuummssss...me drooling now (coz no lunch tadi)

Dear Busybody,

I am with you here. Don't know how to do repeats.

Heh..heh...there are so many of them bras out there, I get confused myself too, the cups, the cut and the sizes. Fuhh...boleh buat math formula :D

kay_leeda said...

Dear MTTNM,

If ever there is any, I wonder how would the disposable ones look like? Light and bouncy?? And remains in good shape for a week, a month, a year?? Depending on the duration of package chosen?? Duhh...susah nya nak buat pilihan :D

Aunty Kay,
I have another theory. Eh, seronok pulak bercerita pasal baju dalam ni. Entah-entah gadis-gadis tu ada bra banyak, maybe berkat shopping kat Bandung ke, Batam ke, so they all actually tukar everyday. Tapi dia buat laundry seminggu sekali or sebulan sekali. Itu sebablah dia jawab basuh bra seminggu sekali or sebulan sekali tu. Ha...think about it. My Mama would do that when she travels. Bawak underwear cukup for the duration, to save her from washing (unless pergi shopping kat Bandunglah sbb nak beli baru). purrr....meow!

hi aunty k, nissa ada blog? apa url blog dia if u don't mind. farah tak ada blog? :)

kay_leeda said...

Dear Cat-in-Sydney,

Ehhh...cik adik, suka ye cerita bab-bab ni!! Anyway, let me tell you a secret. Kalu nak beli bra, Bandung (and even Batam) dun have nice ones lorr. If ever you wanna go looking for those Wac*als, go to Bangkok!!! So banyak there and so, so pretty (and MURAH) too. Can't recall where the place we went and borong ours (the 3Gs). But you need to know where, there are ways of getting that info for you :)

Your theory could be right too. Red on Monday, blue on Tues and seterus nya...seterus nya till Sunday. Lepas tu wash and gantung like sotong kering, right? Heh..heh...I know I used to do that time time belum kawin dulu...LOL.

Yes...during travels memang lah have to bring secukup nya. But you know, when I go Down Under, I don't have to. Coin operated washing machines are aplenty. Senang je nak cuci baju..takde pulang hols dgn dirty laundry. Isshhhh...rindu pulak nak pi jln-jln Down Under...Angie :)

Hi Anon@9.16,

Yes...Nissa just started blogging. Still very green at it. Her blog is http://www.princessdolittle.blogspot.com/

I haven't had the time to sit down and discuss blogging do's & don'ts with her yet. Her blog is still rather kelam kabut.

Farah doesn't have one. Maybe some day she will.....
