Bye Bye Kids....

The ASEAN camp is over. The curtains finally came down last Friday night with a grand dinner hosted by the Minister himself. The ASEAN participants, although very exhausted from the week long activities, were excited with to meet up with ministry officials, sponsors, country Ambassadors and reps. They put up a beautiful cultural show for the guests and it was indeed one unforgetable night for them.

So what's next for them once they return to their countries? Guess they'll be talking about the camp non stop in the upcoming days. Last I checked, the number of visitors to the Portal has increased tremendously. Looks like some of them are already showing off what they have been doing at camp to friends and families back home.

For me, I'm so, so glad that it's over. All the hard work has paid off and the client is happy with what they saw..thank God!!!

I just have one more big assignment on Tuesday. After that, this old machine will take a break for a few days. A couple of routine tasks still await me, nothing rocket science, something I should be able to complete in no time, thus allowing me to relax a bit and come next week...thada....koalas, kangaroos, whombats here we come!!!

Dear Kak Teh,

Ohh..sorry to hear that your Mak is not well. I know how it feels. My kids and I were at my Mom's place over the weekend, nothing much, but just to laze around and catch up with her. It's been a while since we were home. I'm sure your Mak will be so looking forward to seeing you.

And us, yes...it will be an honour to meet up with THE Kak Teh!!Perhaps a few of us could arrange for tea or something. Ooo...I'm so excited already. March is not that far away :)

Yup, we'll be heading to Perth next week. After all the bersilat and juggling acts, this Mommy, her three kids and the attention deprived Dad are going to be spending some quality time together..yeah!!

Dear Mamasita,

Only Nichole Kidman? Ahh...no worries, I'll blow kisses to Olivia Newton John too if I spot her in the park..heh.heh..heh. Very much looking forward to this family trip although I know I'll be racing with the kids to keep up with them.

Ummi,

Yeah sis, hope this trip will be able to recharge and rejuvenate me. But before leaving, I gotta pack. Urrgghhhh...that I don't like to do.

Ms Hart,

Sure bet, there will be lots of pics to share with all. I make it a point to take pics of the dishes found in Perth. I'm sure a few blogger friends would be excited over it :)

Space in the luggage??? Opps...tak de lah. Kalu ader pun, have to take a number...panjang lak line nyer hehe..hehe. Don't worry, will tell the Roos that a dear person yang pandai masak ayam bali tu, will be heading that way soon!!! Tak pe lah, biar Roo tu pun tolong doa for you :)

Pak Malim kuching ray yang alim,

En Whombat dah tau dah yang kami nak datang, sambil sharing with the the other Bushland animals and a group of bats.

Last time I went close to the Roo, I was scared to touch it, kata Kay sambil teringatkan jacket nya yang harus di buka jikan nak masuk loo.

Tai Tai,

Thanks for your good words. Now that the camp is over, rasa sedih pun ader jugak. There were 130 kids all around me for the 5 days. This morning bila wide awake, no kids, no small feet running around. Ahh...I'm already missing those rascals.

And yes...Perth here we come. When are you guys leaving for AtatukLand?

kay_leeda said...

Dear TM,

Heh..heh...looks like you guys will be in control of the lembu-lembu korban this year. Jangan ader yang run off yah :)

ASEAN...so, so glad it's over. Got an appreciation note from client's BIG boss today. Okay lah...penat berbaloi.

After what you have been thru the past few weeks, you definitely deserve this break.

p/s Leave the laptop, the blackberry behind. Switch on the hp only when u want to use it. hehehe...boley ke tidak tuu..?

kay_leeda said...

Dear Waterliliy,

Can...no worries about wishing me in advance. Me no pantang lah. Pics I will take for all of you, nak buat reference ker, nak buat specimen ker, heh..heh.

Haiya, itu "beri-beri" - black, blue or green still have to bring along lah. Not so much for work purpose, but more for my sanity :) Achooo, how lah not to berInternet for more than a week!!!

Kay, how do the students get selected to participate in the camp? Looks like very very interesting.

Anyway, enjoy your break. Bet the kids are excited!

kay_leeda said...

QOTH,

The participants from ASEAN were selected by the SKMM (Suruhanjaya Komunikasi Multimedia) equivalent bodies in their respective countries. But we do have a pre-req like they must be able to communicate in English and have basic ICT skills.

The Malaysian reps are the winners of the online project competition organized by the client. They were also participants of the M*x*s Cyberkids Camps. Selection of schools to the camps was done by the state Pelajaran officials. It's a fully sponsored program under the CSR initiative of the client.

Yess..can't wait to go off. But another ad hoc task just landed on my lap this afternoon. Grrrr....
